Delete vertex in polyline

Hi All,

Everybody can help me delete some vertex in this polyline.

Example as: i have 3 vertex (0,1,2)  and you can see vertex 1 stay between vertex  0 and 2. Now, i want to delete this vertex how can do that. Similarly, i want to delete some vertexs 3,5,8.  Thanks for your help. (Note: this image only illustrate).

You could program the following criteria:
0. I=0: LOOP
1. IS vertex i+1 on straight line segment (i) .. (i+2)
2. THEN RemoveVertexAt (i+1)
3. NEXT i=i+2
