COM Libraries - Different AutoCAD Versions

Hello everyone
My question is simple (apologies if it has been posted before; I'm not a regular user).

When I develop .NET application to run, for example, in AutoCAD 2009 and reference the Interop and Interop.Common libraries and the code works fine, will the application work in a different AutoCAD version, say AutoCAD 2008 or 2010, or do I need to recomplie to make the application run for different versions?

Much obliged

If you use early binding you will not be able to use the
same app on different releases.
