Can anyone tell me the licensing that is applied to the AutoCAD viewer control for .net (AxInterop.ACCTRLLib.dll)? I cannot seem to find any information about it. Can it be redistributed?
I believe the .NET DLL you mentioned is the .NET interop wrapper of AcCtrl.dll, which you can use as AutoCAD viewer in your desktop app. Technically, there is no license issue: AcCtrl.dll comes with AutoCAD and you need to have AutoCAD installed so that the DLL can be used. Since AcCtrl.dll is a COM component, in your VS project, if you add AcCtrl.dll to the toolbox, VS generate its .NET interop wrapper for you. Without AutoCAD installed, that DLL simply is useless. Therefore, if the AutoCAD is licensed andf installed, you are good to use it.

Thanks for the response. The AcCtrl.dll also comes with TrueView. Our intent is to allow viewing of AutoCAD files within our application when TrueView is installed.
