I'm new to .NET and am creating custom classes that I need to save to the DWG file. I assume this is straightforward but have not found a way to do it. I'm using VB.NET but can work with C++ examples as well. Do I have to inherit from a DBObject class and override or is it possible to declare my own custom classes and somehow register them to DBObject?

Hi,
No sure what do you mean by custom classes, but if you are trying custom entities, the answer is NO, you can't do custom entities with .NET API, only C++ API.

On the other hand, if this is simply about storing data there are all sorts of ways-and-means to getting that done.
I'm now exploring ways to store the properties of objects in my classes in DBDictionaries and exect that will accomplish my purpose. Thanks for the replies!
Hi,
Please provide your example how you managed to store data in your custom class.
Thanks.
