Acad 2007 - Is COM interface being phased out?

Hi - I have a quick question regarding AutoCAD 2007. Is the ActiveX/COM interface being phased out in favour of .Net or will the COM Automation still be available in 2007?

Considering the amount of custom programs that interface with AutoCAD via
COM I find it hard to imagine Autodesk ditching it anytime in the near
future. If they did they will have quite a few unhappy customers.

The ActiveX interface certainly will not be removed,
but I don't expect that it would be extended or
enhanced any more than need be.

As it stands, the dependence that the Properties
Palette has on COM/ActiveX means that it must
remain in the product, and may also need to be
enhanced, because any new properties that need
to appear in the Properties palette, need to be
exposed via ActiveX.
