hello. i've got a strange issue going on with my model (weapon made for dota2) when i export it along with the bone it appears in the complete wrong spot. still moves with the character correctly just the position is wrong.
all i can found from my googling and youtube is reseting my xform and changing the models pivot to 0,0,0. after doing this the problem is still there. see pics below.

this is the correct positioning in 3ds max.
this is the in game version. you can see its complete whack. (also the mapping is just the normal map havent done all the texture work yet therefore it looks like crap)

Are the bones in the right place but the model is not? Toggle the Skin modifier off in the base pose, what happens?
