missing/transparent faces

I modeled a simple rowboat in 3ds max and then imported the mesh into unreal engine. For some reason I can not figure out their are a few places where part of the mesh is transparent from one side but not the other.

In Max, right-click the object > Backface Cull. You'll see pretty quickly if any polys are flipped (facing the wrong way). If any are then select them and click Flip on the Edit Polygons rollout. Apply an STLCheck Modifier and see if it tells you there are any other issues.

Sorry, it seems I am not seeing the backface cull option.

And I'm not seeing your image - there's no link in your post.
