Issues with Symmetry

I don't know what happened or how it got this way but the "white box" that encases the model has gone crooked on me. It won't allow me to use the Symmetry modifier properly. I can use it but the opposite side turns out warped. Is there a way to alter this box? I've yet to try to export it and re-import it because I don't know what it'll do to my unwrapped UVs. If the answer is easy, I can't see it. I'm frustrated and hoping a second opinion will help. I've attached an image as well as a zip folder with the file using Max 2011. I haven't run into this issue before leaving me a little confused.

If you reset the xform of your character, the selection box will be straight again. After that, move the pivot to where the symmetry seam needs to be (in the center of your character), and the symmetry will work correctly.
