I am doing the HELMET tutorial. I just completed the "Editing components in the perspective view" section. When I clicked "MESH>Create Polygon Tool>options, the image for the helmet disappeared. I still have the CUBE that I created with the adjustments made to it. I can't proceed with the tutorial without the image reference as a guide. Any suggestions on how to retrieve it? I have tried everything to get it back. Thanks!
Might be a bug. Go to C:\Users\Name\Documents\maya, and rename the 2012-x64 folder (or any version You have) to something else, for example "backup2012-x64". Maya will generate new 2012-x64 folder, which means all settings are restored to default. Try creating the polygon again. If You want to restore Your settings in Maya, just delete the new generated "2012-x64" folder, and rename the old "backup2012-x64" to "2012-x64"
