I've started to learn modeling but I keep running into topology issues of tris and n-gons; luckily I have found some success in certain scenarios of manipulating edges and vertices to convert them into quads but on others, I am not as fortunate such as the picture below (2 n-gons)
I've been tryin gto create a systematic approach (i.e. if heptagon, you can just split the verts in half to get 2 quads, but i've been hitting a brick wall.
Does anyone know of any topology "guidelines" that teach proper ways to create geometry?
