Fur transforms twice as much as model...

Hello Maya forums,

I've been experimenting with fur when making a pine tree. I really like the effect, but I've run into a bunch of problems (one being the imability to include it in mental ray proxies.)

My main problem, however, is that when I attempt to translate the tree trunk and all the branches together, the fur is "detached" and translates at pretty much twice the amount of the geometry. Pictures for easy comprehension:

Before translation:

After translation:

So as you can see the fur moves differently than the geometry. Any help is appreciated. Of course, I'm willing to completely stop with the fur and try something else if there is a better method, especially because of the mental ray proxies thing. Render times are already pretty high with just one tree.

Thanks.

Looks like a double-transformation issue...

What does the grouping for your tree look like in the Hypergraph?
