Edit existing object mesh - how to add something new?

Hello everybody,

I am a newbie in Maya and I kindly need your help. I am getting mad to accomplish this "simple" task. I found a nice squirrel 3D model on the web.. it's free and I attached it on this post. What I want to do is just create a couple of eyes for this creature like 2 simple spheres.. nothing more. The problem is that I don't manage to attach anything to the already existing mesh. Indeed, after creating the spheres (eyes) I would like to attach them to the rest of the body.. nothing more.. and use the already existing controls without modifying anything. I just want to modify the mesh but I don't manage to do it.. may you kindly help me? Thanks in advance!

Reagards,

Enrico

If you parent your eye spheres to the control named "sqr_upper_jaw_ctrl" it should follow along with the rig.
