Create polygon tool?

Hi,
im an old maya 6.0/image studio user ,testing this days maya 2012
for upgrade.
my favorit command is create polygon tool, i use to snap to DWG autocad curves.

in maya 2012 i can't snap to curve vertex while using this command - create polygon tool
can anyone help

you cant snap to a curve cv?

try selecting the curve, displaying the cvs (display -> NURBS -> CV's), you should then be able to ctrl+v snap onto those cvs

or to snap directly onto a curve, ctrl+c snap (curve snap)

i get an error (yellow) maya is in the middle of something.... ( im not near my computer now, i will send you the exact error tommorow) but when i switch to maya 6.0 , everithing is OK.
unfortunatly i cant snap to nurbs curve vertex or edit point
im using winxp32 professional with NVIDIA QUADRO FX4600
