Why do we nort support all fileformats we do support with navisworks ?

Hard to place a Autodesk tool wich does not read all Autodesk formats - That leavs a taste right away.

There are 3 ways to insert file into mockup.

  • Insert from A360

Step: Invoke Insert command in mockup client and select file in 'From A360' Tab.

The files listed in your A360 account could be inserted in to Mockup, which Navisworks is able to read. Please upload the file to A360 account if you want to insert from A360

PS: For assembly file, pls Zip it with its reference files and rename the zip file as ‘assembly full name.suffix.zip’

  • Insert file from Local

Step: Invoke Insert command in mockup client and select file in 'From A360' Tab.

Curerntly, only .step, .stp, .stl, .dwf, .dwfx, .nwd, .jt and .sat files are supported to insert from local

  • Insert file by addin in Inventor

Step: Open the file in Inventor and upload the file to mockup by Addin. So all 3D files could be uploaded to mockup, which Inventor is able to read

By the 3 ways above, the file can be loaded in Mockup, which Inventor and Navisworks are able to read.

Thanks

Fred
