Better positioning tools to place and move components

A Mockup environment needs to have easy and precision tools for placing, move and rotate components. Not all peoples who use CAD using Mockup. Today it is not easy to place and move components on the right position.

Look to the Factory Design Suite - where you have a "Landing Plane" and a perfect "Repositioning" tool.

Landing plane/surface is to place the components in FDS onto the floor. When users
place a component on the factory floor, it is easy to define the location by drag
the trial of component to change the angle/distance

We are working on improving the positioning tools in Mockup and your comments are
valuable for us. Thanks for your feedback.

We have added some new reposiitoning tools in our January 2014 update which are similar to the Factory re-position tools that provide the user a triad to drag and rotate their models. In our release this summer (July time) we will be adding a few more improvements to be able to select up orientation more easily when inserting a model (similar to Factory insert behavior) and the ability to specify global positions for models in the workspace. There will also be more capabilities to lock model positions and reset them to home or previous positions.

With all of these changes we hope to provide enough tools for users to easily set and mantain the positions they want for their models. The one thing you mention that we don't have included here is th "landing plane". After using the new reposition capabilities we would definitely like to hear whether you think that the landing plane is still necessary so we can consider it for future releases.
