PowerDimension and Dimscale - Help!

Why does power dimensioning override my dimstyle by changing the dimscale to
1.00? And how do I fix it?

Michael,

Are you running SP1? Pre - SP1 the dimscale for power dims is controlled by
the variable AMSYMSCALE.

It's doing this on MDT5 and MDT6 SP1, but I haven't tried changing
AMSYMSCALE.

That's not the problem, then, as 5 didn't have the variable and 6/sp1
behaves differently.

Sorry, I've got a finite element model cooking and can't open mdt to check
this out, but you might check amoptions > standards > dimension and see if
"Force usage of predefined dimension style" is checked. This may be causing
mdt to use a dim style other than what you intend to use. Also, somewhere
among all the dimension dialogs ("model scale" on the standards tab?) there
is a setting that will effect dimscale, but I don't remember the
particulars.
