Copy Sketch

Is there a way to copy a sketch to the exact location it started at?

It asks for the center, so if you had a rectangle for instance, before doing the
copysketch, draw a angled line from corner to corner, and then when it asks for the
center, snap to the middle of this line. Or you could use something like this
toolbutton I use _non;'cal;(cur+cur)/2;^M; that allows you to pick the two corners, and
it returns the mid point.

I have to ask though, why do you want two sketches in the same location?

Kent,

I had a part that had the same feature symetrical about a C/L and thus I
needed the same sketch extruded both ways.

You could just constrain a new sketch to the original after you have done
the original extrusion. That way if you change the original extrusion both
with change.

You could also do an extrusion with the type as midplane and give the total
distance of the extrusion. MDT will automatically go 1/2 the distance in
each direction.

I had to extrude it between two non parallel planes. I can not do that (2)
times.

Walter,
You lost me, no surprise.
You have a sketch on a sketchplane that you want to extrude to a plane that
lies near you and to a plane that lies away from you, yes? If no, then I'm
confused.

The feature is identical between the two angular planes.

Somewhat less confused, since I don't know what is happening between the
inner angled surfaces. Back to you original question; however, have you
considered using the edges of the first extrusion for the second profile
rather than copying the sketch? Then both extrusions will update with any
changes to the first sketch.

It is a possibiliy but that means I need to create geometry to close off the
sketch. I've already created the sketch. Why do it again.

Thanks for your input! What I would like is the option to copy the sketch in
