Cannot get color

Hi, hope someone knows how to resolve this.

When I add texture and color to my mesh modeling figure, the color is not there on my model. However, when I render the scene, all the color/texture appears. I would like to be able to work on my model with preview color before rendering it. Everything is black and gray right now.

Hi,

Do you mean you assign a texture and you only see gray on the mesh in the viewport?  If so this is likely because the viewport textures option is off.  if you look on the little toolbar above the viewport for a sphere with a checkerboard pattern and click that the hardware texturing will turn on, then you will see your textures in the viewport.
