What would stop a batch render min-rendering?

So i was trying to batch render via command line last night and it didnt work. So i opened maya and batch rendered through there. Everything seemed fine but when i woke up, for some reason the batch rendering didnt complete.

I have 135 frames. Maya batch renders (100% complete) but it stopped at frame 35. Didnt even finish it, just stopped. The picture was half complete.

What would cause mayabatch to just stop? Odd part is my cpu was still spiking at 99% in use. As if it was still rendering. I had to manually shut off render.exe via task manager because nothing was happening.

So, did my computer freeze midway or get stuck or something? Or does it take a long time to render and i just happened to stop it early? I waited a bit to see if there was any change and nothing, it even said "rendering 100% complete" in maya.
