Hi,

Could you please provide the information to us below?

- Which OS are you using, Win732, Win764, or Win8?

- Which graphics card are you using to reproduce this issue?

- Is there any special steps?

Thanks

I get this all the time.

90% of the time it is when using Detail Views.

It is not exclusive though.

It will often remain a blank screen until I move the model, but it will go as quickly back again. Some models I have, I have to plan my work based on this problem occuring.  It is more likely to occur on bigger files.

I use W7, Quadro 2000.  I have no problems with running Inventor and a host of other programs on the same computer.

Hi,

Windows 7 64-bit SP1, Installed all last  updates

Intel Core i7-3770K 3.50GHz

8 GB RAM

NVIDIA Quadro 2000, driver version 311.35

I check other assembly and one part for this error, but can’t reproduce it. But, if I load the Arbor Press assembly and get error, after that I can load any other assembly and get error too.

I think its problem of this specific assembly, but not sure…

Could you verify my assembly to check for error?

Is the specific assembly causing the problem a large file or have Detail Views?

If I dont use Detail Views the problem there isnt.

I cant trace the pattern in error.

Thanks for your information, I did the validation with the file you provided. it works ok at my side.

I should be caused by graphic card, did you upgrade the driver of NVIDIA Quadro 2000 to latest one?

I installed the Performance Driver instead of the regular driver, and this seems to have solved any issues:

It's started doing it again now, just as bad.

It is doing it under exactly the same circumstances.

Oh dear.

Hello,

Does anyone know if any solutions for this problem has been found? We have an up to date (SP3) Publisher installation and the blinking black screen is creating some real problems for us. It most likely has something to do with the graphics driver since we've been able to temporarily fix the problem by removing one display from our two display configuration. The graphics card model is Geforce FX4000 with latest drivers.

We also have another annoying problems which is the Word Add-in going in to Office "hard disabled" list all the sudden, and it can be enabled for an hour or so only by reinstalling it.

Publisher has not a been a very smooth experience so far.

Any update on this?

I am 100% convinced the problem relates to annotations.

Hi,

my company recently bought Inventor Publisher 2013 R1 and I also had major issues with screen flickering when inserting arrows or detail views.

My machine is an I3, 16 Gb RAM, 120 GB SSD and an NVIDIA Geforce 630 GT.

I was really desperate when I tried fiddling with the NVIDIA Settings. I used a program specific configuration sow that the general setting for the rest of my programs can stay as they are.

Mainly I set:

Anisotropic filtering: OFF

FXAA: OFF

Antialiasing: OFF

Triple Buffering: OFF

Anisotropic optimisation: ON

Negative LOD Bias: Accept

Texture quality: Performance

Triliniear optimization: OFF

Threaded optimisation: AUTO

Vsynch: ON

Other than that I set the energy options of my machine to highest performance.

Now I was able to actually work with Publisher without having to restart due to the screen flickering as soon as I started using some of the tools.

Maybe this will help for some of the people with flickering issues.

Good luck!

Stefan

Bowen, you are welcome 🙂

I have attached 2 screenshots of the settings. It is in German and I do not know if all the translations for the options were correct. Now you can cross-check with the screens.

I hope the issue is gone forever but when reading through the forums it seems that some issues can become "immune" to certain procedures after a while. So, let us hope the best maybe it can even help with your issues.

Best of luck!
