Android Publisher Hyperlink -Greyed out

Downloaded the App on Android Phone.  Emailed the mobile file link that I just exported to cloud and in the email the "Hyperlink" isn't selectable on the Android, but is Selectable on the iOS.  Am I missing something?  The email got to the Android before the App was completely loaded.  Would that make a difference?  Don't think so cause dowloaded App again and then sent email and no success.

Thanks Much!

On Android devices, the "ipm:// " is not recognized as something that is a hyperlink so it doesn't act like one whereas on iOS we have ability to register the "ipm://" as something that acts as a hyperlink. There is a workaround available if you are using a mail client that will allow you to insert hyperlinks in mails (eg Outlook). Here are the steps:

1. In Publisher, before sending the email with the auto-generated link, you have to:

  • select the link and copy it to the clipboard
  • select the Hyperlink command from the context menu (assuming its available in the default email client of your computer)
  • paste the contents of the clipboard in the Hyperlink field
  • send the email

2. On your Android device, using the default email client that comes pre-installed on Android devices (see screenshot), open the email. The link should be clickable now.
