Searching through the forums there are a ton of references to an on going issue when templates are created these feature numbers not reseting themselves. I feel either place a command/function that allows users to reset these numbers in the templates or fix it so this is not an issue.
Repeat Component functionality could significantly reduce some repetitive assembly tasks.
A good use for this is when assembling fasteners or bolt connections that are assembled with an Insert. each addtional occurrence should only require a single click, selecting the new circular edge, before imediately prompting for the next occurrences' circular edge and so on.
some assemblies have a few hundred bolted connections and fasteners.
Each new occurrence of the component already has the component references selected. Only the assembly references for the highlited constraints need to be selected.
I wrote an API function to do this but it would be nice to have it out of the box.
It would be really great if we could rearange patterns in an assembly. Patterns can not be dragged into a folder. I would really want this so I can easily suppress a folder with, for instance, all fastners.
I would like to see the ability to change the shape of the detail view in an idw after it is placed. The only way we can do this now is to delete the view and place a new one. A simple task can turn into several minutes of work.
I'd like to be able to suppress these functions/features so I can tell they are there but not enabled. This would make it easier to enable when needed but disable when not.
Also, to be able to store and manage different "states" of Adaptivity, Flexible & Contact Set supression for these items (similar to the way we use View Reps). This making it easier to recall saved environments to both enable and disable easily.
