Why does Inventor include these wonderful tools for creating piping ... and then not have any system available for documenting them in an industry standard way? I know I can export them as a .PCF ... but unfortunately Plant 3D doesn't import .PCF, and the tech preview that would do it has expired.
Meanwhile ... my client wants P&ID's & piping isos, and that means that I can't use Inventor, and have to look for a different package to spend more money on.
What i expect in the future is better implementation Alias with Inventor.
To use the benefit of strong assotiative feature-based modeling methology and the benefits of explicit surface class A modeling techniques.
I would love to increase productivity by having the chance to use both within the same surface.

Creating a part feature, the option of creating their thin walls, adding menus simpler than some plastic parts would make the drawing. Shell process will need to use every time. Thus, certain restrictions will be eliminated.

Would be nice to have ab FBX export option, so that animations that have been set up in Inventor (camera, constraints etc) could be rendered in Showcase or 3DS Max

Patch command, in order to make more complex patches can be improved.
Patching process only;
1 - patched where you can select the edge lines,
2 - Weight Factors adjust,
options open is not enough.
The patch process, the patch can commit to use the options in the guide lines of the road, should be added to the command options.

It would be very helpful if the Model browser would show a small window fly-out with a view of the current page if you are working in a drawing or the part if in an assembly
The attached graphic '11-2-2012 10-41-48 AM.png" show how it could look within a multi-page drawing
"11-2-2012 10-57-47 AM.png" and "11-2-2012 10-58-49 AM.png" shows that it is already beeing done in Inventor down in the lower left corner so it shouldn't be a huge programming issue to make it work on the Browser Bar
Be able to export the Frame (Frame Generator) to SFPD, so that we can import it into something such as Revit, or Structral Detailer.

I would like to see a second "reference" occurrence. I like to show motions on an idw by patterning components and making one instance reference. Since the customers part on my gages is reference also and must be shown in red phantom the are all red phantom. By creating a second Reference occurrence I could set my motions to the second Ref. and make that show up as purple phantom. This is the way I have to make it appear in autocad for the customer so it would make it a lot easier and look better if I could do it right in Inventor.
Thanks
