i can use 3d sketch for lofted flange

i can use 3d sketch for loft command solid body modelling.But i can not use 3d sketch for sheet metal lofted-flange command.We can use 3d sketch for sheet-metal lofted flange command.Untitled.jpg

Hence my idea of being abe to flatten non developable surfaces.  There is no point is being able to create a complex sheet metal loft if you cant flatten it.

I agree with this idea. Here is a sample from the industry. One of our customer who designs fluid tanks asked me how they can create this transition geometry using sheet metal and then generate flat pattern. I couldnt create the exact geometry only one approximate model.
