Retieving Dimensions from a Revolution

Would it be possible to retrieve the dimensions of a revolution revolution onto any drawing view, regardless of which sketch plane they were initially created? At the moment if the sketch is created on the XY plane, the detail drawing view has to be aligned to that sketch plane for all of the dimensions to come across correctly.

The dimension apply for a full 360 degree revolution, so should be able to retrieved onto any veiw. I shouldn't have to anticipate how I'm going to detail the part when I'm creating it initially.

3DModel tolerances are often not used in production for 3 main reasons. This is one of them.

The other two are documented by the following ideas:

• [US-71304] enable a quick overview of all tolerated geometries in the 3D model
• [INVGEN-1948] Retrieve dimensions in more than one view

All 3 issues are already known to Autodesk. Casting votes could make them became true.
