I assume you mean, "Make Inventor not allow a right side view to be moved to the left side of the front view, etc."
Perhaps instead of not allowing it, we could change the behaviour of it. I also assume that your reason for posting this is because you have yourself, or seen others, unintentionally place a view out of projection. If Inventor instead actually changed the view as users expect, would that be better? i.e., if I slide a left hand view over to the right side of the front view, should Inventor change that view to a right side view?
Yes that's the idea: Do not have an error in the projected view.It seems easier to lock the move, than changing the view. (Especially if there are already annotations)
Great Idea....Many times when I do a copy design and then open the idw's the projected views are moved. Sometimes they are on top of the parent view, which makes it easy to spot. But sometimes, the projected view is all the way on the wrong side. I have to watch this closely cause it can cause problems in the shop. I would prefer that if the view was moved to the opposite side, it should change to the correct view... and keep the dimensions, of coarse.
