Make Section Views available in Part Modelling environment

Section Views are very useful in the Assembly environment but are unavailable in Part Modelling. It would be very handy if they were available for checking the geometry of complex surfaces and solids in Parts.

I know I could place the part into an empty assembly and use Section Views there, but it seems an unnecessary extra step. The fact that this fix works suggests it shouldn't be a difficult idea to include.

Are you talking about something other than this command?

I am talking about that command- I was sure it didn't work with Parts. I've just been back and checked it on the Part I was working on yesterday- it does not work (it's greyed out) on Parts that only have surfaces in i.e. no solid bodies, though you can put a Part contaiing only surfaces into an assembly and section it there. The reason I was trying to do this was to quickly check cross-sections of a lofted surface.

Thanks for pointing out it does work with solids!
