The Dynamic Simulation input grapher currently allows the input of coefficients for a polynomial equation (for instance 6 coefficients can be entered for a 5th order polynomial). While this is mathematically sufficient, the best way to define the curve from a design point of view would be to enter the position (mm), velocity (mm per s) and acceleration (mm per s^2) for the start point and the end points of the curve.
From a functional point of view this would then allow the user to match the adjacent segment position, velocities and accelerations to avoid shock/impulse loading at the start or end of a cam ramp for instance. This would enhance the usability of Dynamic Simulation. This functionality is typically available in other motion design packages.
