Fillet and Shell

I would like to see Inventor better able to to apply fillets to complex shapes.  Improved variable radius fillet operation.  I would also like to see an improved shell operation.  The shell command struggles with complex geometries.  Lastly, for now, improve the shell variable wall thickness operation.  I've tried to shell complex objects only to find that Inventor just could not do it.  Then I have to find an alternate way to model it, when shelling would make the modeling much easier.

I say the same, wich other alternative way to shell did you used?

Within the Autodesk Inventor 2014 release we have enhanced the fillet command to support partial computes. For example, when selecting 40 edges to fillet, if one edge is unable to support the desired fillet, (due to any number of conditions) the entire fillet operation would fail and you would be required to make a modification (remove edge selections or adjust radius) as needed. In Autodesk Inventor 2014 you are given an option to compute the fillets that will succeed. For example: a message will display "1 of 40 selected edges cannot be blended at the current size" check the box next to "Accept successful blends" and you successfully create the fillets on the edges that support the geometric conditions.

As for general robustness (for modeling operations on complex shapes) it sometimes helps to enable the "Advanced Feature Validation" option located under Tools > Document Settings > Modeling tab.  Understand that it should be used in conjunction with a "Rebuild All" via Manage > Rebuild All.
