Expand Component Pattern 'Feature Pattern Select' functionality

Currently, the 'feature pattern select' option of the component pattern tool only recognizes patterns created at the part (.ipt) level.

It would be logical to add the ability for the 'feature pattern select' to acknowledge patterns created at an assembly level, such as a hole pattern added to an assembly or a pattern added as a machined feature of a weldment.

This allows the designer to create models that reflect true manufacturing workflow, and adds the benefit of the component pattern feature patter select tool.

Regards,

To save making another thread revolving around the same feature function, it would be wonderful if the Feature Pattern Select tool would automatically change the suppression state of the resulting pattern to match that of the root pattern's state. As of now, if you suppress the root part pattern the assembly pattern will fail. It would be far better for it to truely mirror the behavior through and through.

This would be great.

We use assembly features a lot, so this is really necessary.

Too bad it has so few kudos 😞
