I have started using Dynamic Simulation for some of my design. I would like to see the following improvements. Note: I am on IV 2014, so 2015 might be better.
1. Use a work axis or work plane to define the gravity direction. The current tools either let me pick a edge or surface or define the x,y, and z components of the vector. I need to evaluate the effects of yaw, pitch, and roll on my machines. Allow the gravity vector to change during the simulation.
2. Allow several simulations to live in each assembly, like the FEA tool does. I want to run several variations of loads, velocities, and accelerations in order to evaluate my design.
3. Respect Design Views, Position Reps and Levels of Detail, just like the FEA tool. Again, I want to evaluate several design alternatives and build several different simulation models in the same source assembly.
4. Display results from several different simulations on the output grapher.
5. Assign units to the output grapher independent of the document units setting. I might want to design a machine in inches, but need to see moments in Nm.
