Create additional layers when exporting a Flat Pattern.

I would like to have the capability to create additional layers when I export a Flat Pattern.  That way I won't have to edit the DWG/DXF just to add in that information.

Maybe I'm not understanding... but I think what you are asking for can be accomplished by using the DWG "Configuration" and/or "Post Process" capabilities (layers tab) in the "Flat Pattern Export Options" wizard.

Hi Brian,

  Correct, but that has to be done everytime, I cannot set it within any type of template file since there is none within the workflow.  So the user must manually go through the process over an over.  If they have some downstream process that requires extra layers for their workflow, it may become tedious.  I placed this here to see if there was any interest from any end-users.

Hello Bryan.

Do you mean having the ability modify which layers are exported and what the layer names are? And the ability to save this information and select or have it preselected during the workflow of exporting?

I actually have a add-in going through the approval process now that adds this capability to the export process for flat patterns. Funny I actually considered adding the capability to associate a particular export configuration with a file so it could be preset in templates. May be worth doing now.
