Assmbly: 3D Points (x, y, z)

The ability to create a 3D sketch within context of the Assembly? I'd like to create ten or twenty points in 3D (x, y, z) space both individually and via the Excel Batch process that is current functinality when creating a part.

I agree that it needs to be possible to create a 3D sketch in an assembly. Have found myself deriving/shrinkwrapping the assembly just to be able to make a 3D-sketch.
