Assembly comparison

Assembly comparison

Open two (or more) assemblies, in the same or different windows, and have Inventor highlight:

Parts that are common (used in both assemblies) or parts that are unique (only used in each assembly).

Have the ability to send results to a single column text file listing the parts.

Thanks for sharing your Idea. We use this forum to guide product development and help users in the best way we can based on voting. We occasionally merge Ideas or archive old ones to keep the forum working properly - it ensures there is room for people to review new Ideas and that the most relevant and meaningful ones can gain votes. We’re archiving this Idea because it's been on the board for well over a year and hasn't received many votes from the community. If you want to raise it again and try to gain more support, you're welcome to do so. We’ve found that pictures and mock-ups can help get concepts across and win more votes from other users. If you have questions or see a connection between this Idea and others, let us know. - Inventor product team (Inv.idea review)

Autodesk please, do not wait for the lazy users.
They even don't know how good is this feature -
as Solidworks users could use since years ...
Honestly: Inventor is far behind compared to Solidworks Assembly's (utilities) capacity (too)
There is no (good, easy to understand ) information how many unique parts do you have, how your assembly is being built, how long the rebuilt time for the components, sometime mass property gives 10 times !!! bigger mass in the reality, you cannot reorder
patterns in the parts tree, no hole alignment analysis (it is in Solidworks since 2013), etc, etc

Let's go forward and don't change the status of these ideas to archived. 🙂
