When I export a intevenor file to jpeg or pdf, the edges are not smooth at all under the link, the jep file has the edges that are jagged up and not smooth. Are there settings to make the edges smoother or smooth when you exprot them to jpeg or anything.
In order to get smoother screen capture exports, most likely you'll need to adjust your graphics card settings a bit. For instance, in order to change this on the system I'm on at the moment I need to close Inventor and then go to the Nvidia Control Panel and use slider as shown, and then restrart Inventor. I don't run it like this all of the time because of the permormance sacrifice, but your system might vary.
Or you can switch to the Inventor Studio environment and render the image and it will remove the jagged edges.
I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,

ok i did Nvidia Control Panel and restarted inventor and it pretty does the same thing. I don't belive that I have Inventor Studio environment. Are there any other options out there? If there's not it's fine.
First try this.. Before you hit the save button hit the options button next to it and put 3000 for X..leave Y as it is..
Is that acceptable? If not try more.. Like 5000 or whatever.. Its basically the number of pixels used to create that image.. More pixels..better line quality.
what I do to get a good image is simply turn on Visual Style Realistic with the Ray Tracing button active (use good or best not interactive) then save as a png file. (same thing for the options there too)
Note ray-tracing is only available in INV 2012 or greater.
Or try the Inventor screenshot add-in on the autodesk labs site.
Or the best solution might be to simply use the Snipping Tool built into Windows 7 (and Vista I believe) instead of saving/exporting.. Just grab a snapshot of the screen in the area you want..
I love the Snipping Tool and use it daily for everything
I did the snipping tool but that doesn't work good. I don't know what you talking about when you said hit the options buttion next to the save. The only opitions I saw was when you go to the "I" and click down and the options buttion is on top of the exit invetnior buttion. But when I was there, I haven't seen anything that was X and Y. What are you talking about when it came to the options buttion?
When exporting to a Jpeg, select the options button at the bottom of the save dialog. That's where the image size can be set.
