what happend to my migrated idw?

I just migrated all of my files into IV6 SP1. Tried to open an idw with
multiple sheets, and got this message when I tried to open the second sheet:
{Set Active Sheet Instance Cannot modify the library file k:\ Manufactured
Parts\ 18-11.idw.}
Also none of the views or dims. of the part are visible on either sheet.
I checked the Migration log file and it shows that the part was migrated
successfully, what gives?
I looked on the NG to see if there were any other post with this topic,
didn't see any.
Any help would be great thanks, Josh

Just wondering, is K:\manufacured files listed as, or underneath a directory listed as a project library path?? If I remember correctly, IV 6 will not let you modify files in library direcories.. That sounds like the same error I got when I tried to do it.

yes it was a "stock" idw template.  until I
did the save which named the idw, 18-11.idw   it has the name, date,
title, size and dwg no.

I do have custom templates saved in a separate
folder, but didn't use for this part.

Do you have problems with any other idw's in this directory?

try copying the idw (and probably the ipt/iam) to a directory not listed in your library and try to open it (you'll probably have to redirect the link to the source ipt/idw) alternately, you could just remove the directory from the library search path and try to open the idw, see if that helps. I had a problem similar (I only had one sheet) to this and removing it from the library search fixed it.

search the board for "library search" and a message thread called "yet another problem" where library search files were discussed.

some of the idw's I can open, no problem, others
with same problem.

I also just noticed that the 3rd party
tab has a drop down that says Embedding 1.  but when I try to see what
it is I get the same message as when trying to open second page.  this
is not an assembly drawing just a single part.

Have you tried changing the library search paths or setting a new default project that doesn't include the directory in its library search? This will fix it if that is the problem. If the library path isn't your problem, then its possibly a migration issue.. and I can't help you there.

There are a few threads under the "library search" search topic. A few of them might give you hints as to how your projects files should be structured. apparently Its screwed up a lot of people so far.
