David,

I have the Designjet HP430 and have not had problems printing PDF's. I do recall having to spend some time playing with the paper size/layouts etc, but it seems to work fine. Can I help?

I expect that you could help... me... any
suggestions re. the HP430 you can provide are welcome.

But as I stated in my earlier post
face="Times New Roman" size=3>even if I can figure out our internal problem with
pdf plotting none of my customers have been successful either and I can't walk
into their facilities and troubleshoot their IT problems with each of their
configurations.

I'd be glad to try and help. My first thought would be to see if I can get a sample PDF of yours to plot. If I get it to plot correctly, then we could discuss what settings was used. Unless you have a better idea?

I know what you mean about customer's having issues as well. I have one that makes 6 plots of each PDF. The problem is, the first one is fine. After that, the other 5 copies start missing lines, text etc. I would think it was a memory thing, but they can send them one at a time and they plot fine. wierd.

I'll put a sample or two together and email to
you.  Thanks for your help.

In the mean time, how did you get Adobe Acrobat to
respect the sheet sizes defined in the plotter driver set-up.  All I can
plot to (when plotting to my 430) is an 8.50" x 11.00" sheet size?

Let me clarify this.... i can select the page size
in the 'Page Set-Up' dialogue but in the 'Preview' pane of the 'Print' dialogue
all that displays is an 8.50" x 11.00" sheet size.

David,

That's the way mine shows up as well, but it plots fine. Even though I have 24" x 36" paper selected it shows the 8.5" x 11" and the preview pic itself is messed up, but it works.

Yes, I am seeing the same.  I can get a 24" x
36" sheet to work.  But for anything larger either it errors
out or a plot file several hundred mb in size is created (which is too
large for practical use if it ever would plot).

I have posted sample PDFs ti IVCF for: 24" x 36";
36" x 48"; 36" x 72"; and 36" x 96" sheet sizes.

I am anxious to hear if your luck is any better
than mine.

Wow! ok, you may have me on the sheets larger than 24" x 36". Sorry, I guess I didn't realize. I've never tried anything larger than 24" x 36", but I'll take a look tonight and see what happens.
