video Card for Inventor 7 Series

Can anyone tell me what the best video card is to use with Inventor 7 and AutoCAD 2004.

I would like a video card that does not generate errors and the newest drivers should always be available for the latest versions of Inventor and AutoCAD.

AM I dreaming or is there such a video card?

We're using the 900XGL and having quite a lot of
crashes.

Which drivers?

I'm running the 4103 (as are many others) and it's as stable as can be...

I am using the same card and am very happy with it. I would suggest any of
the quadro4 cards starting with the 750 xgl and up.

I like the 900XGL, but I'm also satisfied (for limited use) with the
performance of my Synergy 2000 at home. We have found that reformatting
and installing fresh OS improves the performance and stability of
workstations rather than using them out-of-the-box from the computer store.

Same driver we're using. R6 wasn't stable by any means but more so than r7
(at least for us).

That's interesting. I'm also using the same card and the same driver. No
problems with 6.2 or 7. Gotta be a hardware glitch somewhere. Sorry no
help, but this info should point you to looking at the machine specs and
condition.

Has anyone tried the ATI Fire GL Z1 graphics card? I'm looking for a new graphics card as well. The benchmarks seem to be better then the Qaudro750 and even the 900. Plus it's 8X AGP where you have to get a 950 or into the FX series to get that option with a Quadro. Just looking for insight.

I played with the GL Z1 for a brief time, but I
have worked with the Fire GL1, 2, 8800, and 4 and I've seen a lot of quirks and
fine tuning that I've never seen or had to do on my Quadro 4 Go and
750.
