Hey guys,
got two errors with my new Inventor 2014
First one:
If I want to open the Explorer via Windows-Key + E it shows a message, that FB.dll is missing and the programm cannot be started (although the explorer opens). If I open the Explorer normally via shortcut and double click the message doesn't appear
Second one:
Same message, but it says utx.dll is missing. This message appears every time I've opened the explorer and go to a folder which contains drawing (ipt, aim, idw...). Looks as if this got something to do with the preview it makes or is trying to make.
Both files are not missing, they are actually there.
Win 7 32bit
Inv 2014 PDS Standard
Reinstall didn't help
Pls help
I attached the error msg (English version) as already discussed here:
http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Autodesk-Inventor/fb-dll-system-error/td-p/3277453
1 - are you sure you've installed the correct version? 32bit version for 32bit windows? (withing sounding rude - are you sure you're on 32bit, as it's pretty rare these days?)
2 - did you install in the recommended way? Anti Virus off, Admin account, UAC off, etc.
3 - windows up to date? .net etc.

Found a "solution" for FB.DLL
Ich downloaded Autoruns (Microsoft Homepage)
http://technet.microsoft.com/de-de/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx
Tab = Explorer
And unchecked all Autodesk entries.
Of course that's not a real solution but it stops the annoying Errormessages!
UTX.DLL Message still appears when opening a folder with Inventor files in it.
I've had a similar problem with the loss of windows explore, but in my case it was message saying that there was no program associated with the explorer file.
I found a helpful link http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/file-asso-fixes-for-windows-7/ this leads to a site with short programs
