How do you get a simple time stamp on a .idw??
I've have a time stamp field but it won't show up. I've been in the template to edit; iprops, field edit; border edit........ No luck.
Any thoughts?
Hi PENengr,
Here is one solution from the guys at the BeingInventive blog:
http://beinginventive.typepad.com/being-inventive/2011/07/plot-date-stamp-in-title-block.html
It might be helpful to attach an example file for others to look at as well.
I hope this helps.

Curtis, this is great! however--- I made this rule in our .idw template but when other draftsman printed it didn't carry over. Am I missing a setting or something?
Hi PENengr,
It's difficult to tell without seeing the rule and/or a sample file.
Can you attach an example file for others to look at ?
I hope this helps.

Yes.... attached. I'm reading your blog http://inventortrenches.blogspot.com/2011/02/ilogic-code-for-parts-lists-title.html
and trying to make my ilogic rule an external rule???? .......Greg
Hi PENengr,
Nice job on the title block.
It looks like your custom iProp in your border got lost. I won't venture much of a guess as to why, other than to say that if you're anything like me you got pulled away in the middle of this and forgot to save or something along those lines.
Also, I couldn't tell for sure if you were asking about how to create an external ilogic rule (as opposed to an embedded rule), but if so here goes: Just set the External Rules tab active on the iLogic Browser and then right-click on the top level node and select Create New External Rule
you can change the external rule search paths as shown here:

I hope this helps.
