suppressing assemblies with ilogic and excel

Hello,

I'm trying to do something simple, but I'm never worked with the iLogic function before and have no programming experience.

What I'm trying to do is the following: I have an assembly that contains mutiple assemblies, I want to exlude/include these assemblies with an extern Excel spreadsheet. I think this is possible with iLogic, but I have no idea how exactly?!!

I know that when I've created an iPart/iAssembly, I can open a spreadsheet, where I can Exclude/Include parts and assemblies, I can also link my extern Excel spreadsheet to the iPart/iAssembly spreadsheet. But I can only update the assembly by opening the iPart/iAssembly spreadsheet and closing it, manually!

I want to suppress components without opening anything next to my excel file and the Inventor assembly.

Hope somebody knows how to do this, I think it is very simple, but I just don't know how to!

Can somebody please help me with this problem???

Thanks a lot!!

I.A.N.
