same distance gap around part

What formula or dimensions do i require so as there is a 0.5mm gap around the Revolution 3 (red color)...is revolution the method required to achieve this?

You can create two offset planes 0.5 mm from the inside faces of the recessed area, then revolve your red part Between those two planes.

I did it using the method the above poster stated. You had a .75mm gap at the top, I modified your sketch to bring it to .5mm. If this wasn't intended, change it back.
