project geometry and Loft

Hi all

I'm new to this board and looking forward to joinin'

I have a problem with the Loft function. It won't cooperate with sketches which include Projected geometry. At best it treats the projection as a closed sketch instead of part of a sketch.

What I need is either:

-A way to 'trim' lines of projected geometry

-A way to 'activate' PG as an active part of a sketch.

The reason for this is that the entire part needs retouching, if I just estimate the lines of the projected sketch.

It is in sketch No 74 the issue lies

Thank you all in advance

Kind regards

-Martin, Denmark

Martin,

Welcome a board!!!

When you are using the project geometry command are you just using that line as part of your sketch or are you drawing an additional line over the projected line.  You should be doing the later.  If not, try doing just that and see if that fixes the issue.

Check Extrusion 27 and Sketch 65 (I don't think it returns exactly the results you are after).

You can right click on Projected Geometry in the Browser and Break Link.
