placing constraints

I am building a patio, I have a croos beam that needs to have a 1% slope to
it for drainage. I have one beam attached to the structure and another
support beam out about 20'. The beam attached to the structure is a couple
of inch's higher in elevation than the other support beam. How do I get a
cross beam to constrain to each beam independently giving me the slope I
need for the roof that is to be attached to the cross beams? I have tried
several different ways to constrain this but no luck. Any ideas would be
appreciated. Thanks,

Willie

I am probably misunderstanding, but can't you just use a angle constraint of 1º on the
beam attached to the structure? Maybe a simple example in customer files would help.

I tried that, I placed an angle constraint on the beam attached to the
structure, the problem is when I add the 1 degree angle it kicks the side
attached to the structure into the beam. I know I am missing something, just
cant put my finger on it.

Ok.. well I had just posted a example to customer files. 8^) Oh well glad to hear you
figured it out.
