numbers on face plate

I have a face plate with strokes on it to represent pressure increments.I cannot get the numbers onto the face plate. On the large stroke it starts at 0 and goes to 9 ..  please how do i add the numbers. Also i used extrusions for the increment strokes with circular patterns and mirror features. Is this how it should be modelled?

Simply start a new sketch and then click the text tool.

Exit sketch and then Extrude cut or Emboss the text.

No..not correct..You could have 1 sketch with all the strokes and even all the text in that same sketch if you want.

Not sure what to tell you here.. Have you ever used Inventor before?

Simply start a new sketch.. using the text feature add a number.. use the text feature again..add another number,etc..

same can be done with the hash marks too.. In that same sketch create the one hash mark then do a circular pattern while still in the active sketch.. When you are all done finish the sketch and then extrude.
