*.*iv file extension???

got a cd from boss this morning to open in inventor, It has an *.*iv file extension after??? has anyone even seen this before or happen to know how to import file

This is just a wild guess. Maybe the file was emailed to the person that created the CD? Some e-mail servers will reject zip files. So if you want to send one, you have to rename the extension. I'd try changing it to *.zip and seeing if it opens in winzip (or XP). *.iv files are graphics files used by SGI Inventor or Open Inventor.
