is there a way to change all these things at once?

is there a way to change all the parts (*.ipt) in a directory at once? for instance i have a directory of different length m8 screws and I want all of them to have the document settings/bill of materials to be phantom and the color cadet blue.

Create a new assembly.

Place all the parts in the subfolder in the iam. (ur choice as how to do that).

In the iam, click on the Bill of Materials editor on the assembly tab.

In the BOM editor, you should see a column labeled "BOM Structure". Change the top most one to "Phantom".  Now select this and drag across all other to change them as well (like you do in excel).

What you are asking for with the color is a color over-ride.  Not sure if you can do that on a global scale.  You could create a material the color that you want and then using the BOM editor apply that material to all the ones like you did with the BOM structure above.
