ipt to dwg units

Hello everyone.

I have created a 3D model in Inventor 2013 using mm units. When I exported the file to AutoCAD 2010 .dwg, the exported file appears to have inch units.

What should I do so the exported .dwg file maintains the original units measurements (mm)?

Attach the files here that exhibit this problem.

What happens if you type -dwgunits (with the dash - ) in AutoCAD?

Unfortunately I do not have AutoCAD in my pocession.

The dwg files are intended for CNC manufacturing  workhop and they are the ones that pointed the problem.

You do not need AutoCAD to save in as dwg from Inventor.

That is what I need - the dwg file you saved of this *.ipt file to verify that the units have changed.

Have you installed all Service Packs for your version of Inventor?

(the correct answer is  - no.)

I did verify that it is in fact changing the units from mm to inches.

Looks like a bug in the program to me.  (I duplicated the issue in r2015.)

The end user will have to run the -dwgunits command in AutoCAD to convert to the correct units.

I understand.

Will the inch values be converted to mm or just the units will be converted?

The command options will allow you to do either.

In this case you simply want to change the units (no conversion).
