iFeatures Trouble

Why is it that I can not use sheet metal commands to make iFeatures? It would be so much easier to make SHEET METAL features. Anyone have any advice on this?

It's unfortunate fact of life. To create a sheet
metal iFeature; I usually start with a sheet metal template, so that all
the sheet metal parameters are available, then switch to Model mode and create
the features. Try this tutorial,
