how can i hide constraint tooltips in inventor 2012

one thing that is driving me nuts is when picking features for constraints, this tooltip or hud pops up and screws my selected choice up...can i turn it off and if so, where?

Hi! I am a bit confused here. Could you tell me what you meant by "picking features for constraints"? Is this in assembly environment or in part environment?

I think they are talking about the select other dialog. I haven't loaded 2012 yet but you should be able to change the delay so that it takes longer for that dialog to be triggered. In 2011 it was tools..application options..general tab..and change the select other delay.

actually there is a delay, but on the first constraint...if i hover over my part, after 1 sec, another little transparent popup appears with a list of features to chose from

i.e.

1. FACE NORMAL

2.  AXIS

3. FACE NORMAL

4. FACE NORMAL

5. CENTER POINT

etc.

But i have turned off all tooltips and it still shows up.

I cant do a print screen of it, cause it disappears at time of capture.

You can change the delay so that it doesn't pop up so quickly.

Its NOT a tooltip.

You can set the delay to 10 seconds or whatever and you won't see it unless you hover over somethign for 10 seconds or more..

Just to the right of where you turned off the tooltips.

Tools>Application Options>General tab

Just Right Mouse Button whenever you need to Select Other 

- or find a delay that is long enough but not too long for your normal workflow.
